Estate Planning includes all aspects of ensuring your assets are held in accordance with your wishes to meet lifetime goals and for the seamless transition upon your death. Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Advance Directives and Durable Powers of Attorney are all integral parts of a successful estate plan.
The death of a loved one can be a stressful and trying time for everyone in your family. Our goal is to make the settlement of a loved one's estate as simple as possible, and make the process as stress free as possible. We will handle all required Probate Court filings, contact financial institutions, assist with consolidating assets, coordinate tax filings and guide you through the ultimate distribution of the estate.
Whether you need to establish a small business, or are looking to put a succession plan in place to ensure a smooth transition of your existing business should you need to exit the business, and all matters that may arise in between, we can help you with putting the necessary legal framework in place, including legal documents and filings with the Secretary of State.
When it becomes necessary to obtain a Guardianship or Conservatorship over a loved one due to physical or mental incapacity, we can help. Obtaining a Guardianship can be an emotionally exhausting process and we aim to make it as smooth a process as possible by working with the medical professionals involved, handling all filings with the Probate Court, and guiding you through what may be a difficult transition.
Whether you are a senior citizen planning for your own future, or a child seeking guidance for how they can best help an aging parent, it is our priority to ensure that our society's elder generation has the resources they need to live their best life, whether that means creating a long term plan to keep them in their homes as long as possible, or transitioning to skilled nursing care. We can help with all stages of elder law, including planning for nursing home care and applying for Medicaid for long term care.
When an individual has a disability, resources may be quickly depleted in caring for such individual. We can establish a plan for preserving family assets and resources, while preserving the availability of public benefits through the use of supplemental needs trusts and special needs trusts.
